Smith & Nephew Web Optimisation
Smith & Nephew, a global healthcare product manufacturer, underwent a major project to improve the way it presented itself to customers online. I led the research, concept and design phases of the project.
What I did
- Planning and facilitating participatory design sessions
- Running usability test sessions
- Running card sorting sessions
- Designing template and module wireframes
- Team and client management
- Workshop facilitation
I managed a team of four information architects, three graphic designers and two site developers on this project. I was personally responsible for safeguarding the creative concept, running user testing and participatory design sessions with customers in the States and the UK, as well as finalising all design deliverables.
The project brought a cutting-edge look and feel to the Smith & Nephew web presence, putting them head and shoulders above competitor sites in their industry.
